Abstract

• In April 2019, inflation occurred in the city of 0.97 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (April 2019 against December 2018) is 1.99 percent and the inflation rate for "year on year" is 4.11 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest inflation share in Banjarmasin City include air transportation, rice, shallots, house rent, garlic.

• In Tanjung City, in April 2019 there was inflation of 0.47 percent. The inflation rate for the calendar year 2019 (April 2019 against December 2018) inflation was 0.63 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 1.53 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in Tanjung City include: shallots, garlic, vegetable tomatoes, sweet corn, chicken meat.

• Of the 82 cities that calculated the consumer price index, there were 77 cities experiencing inflation, 5 cities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation in the city of Medan was 1.30 percent, and the lowest was in the city of Pare-Pare by 0.03 percent. The highest deflation in the city of Manado was 1.27 percent, and the lowest in the city of Maumere was 0.04
