Abstract

• In January 2019, inflation in the city of Banjarmasin was 0.82 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (January 2019 against December 2018) was 0.82 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 3.17 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest inflation share in Banjarmasin City include air transportation, cork fish, chicken meat, shallots, gold jewelry.
• In Tanjung City, in January 2019 there was inflation of 0.75 percent. The inflation rate for the calendar year 2019 (January 2019 against December 2018) inflation was 0.75 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 2.97 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in the city of Tanjung include: chicken meat, shallots, fly fish, spinach, tilapia.

• Out of 82 cities that calculated the consumer price index, 73 cities experienced inflation, 9 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation in the city of Tanjung Pandan was 1.23 percent, and the lowest in the city of Pematang Siantar was 0.01 percent. The highest deflation in Tual was 0.87 percent.
