Harvest Area and Rice Production in Kalimantan Selatan Province 2024 (Final Figures)

Based on the results of the KSA Survey, the realized rice harvest area from January to December 2024 reached around 246,112 hectares, or an increase of 31,829 hectares (14.85 percent) compared to 2023.

The increase in rice production in 2024 will occur in almost all regions in Kalimantan Selatan, except for 3 (three) region which experienced a decline in rice production, namely Kab. Hulu Sungai Utara, Kab. Tanah Bumbu and Kab. Kotabaru. The three region with the highest total rice production (GKG) in 2024 are Kab. Barito Kuala, Kab. Banjar, and Kab. Hulu Sungai Tengah.

If rice production is converted into rice for food consumption by the population, then rice production from January to December 2024 is equivalent to 609,172 tons of rice, or an increase of 91,132 tons (17.59 percent) compared to 2023.
