Corn Area Sample Framework Application Trial Training

Area Sample Framework Survey (ASF) is an area-based survey conducted by direct observation of sample segments and aims to estimate the area by extrapolating from the sample to the population in a relatively short period (rapid estimate). The application of the ASF method is based on the latest technology. The technology used in ASF is an Android cellphone that has been installed with the ASF application to photograph and determine the rice growth phase. The coordinates of the selected observation points are locked so that in order to photograph, officers must actually visit the location. The ASF survey was carried out on the last 7 days of each observation month.

The ASF Application Trial Training for the Corn commodity was successfully carried out on Tuesday (22/10) at the BPS Barito Kuala Hall. This activity was attended by enumeration officers and examiners consisting of 3 PCS and 1 PMS. This training is part of the transition of the implementation of the ASF Corn by BPS.
